INDER (SAMY) SHARMA
sadly passed away early today. Stan started work for KLM at Croydon Airport in the late 1930's until he was conscripted into the forces during the war years. He returned to work with KLM at Bristol Airport after the war, before transferring to London Heathrow Airport when it opened in 1947. Stan was always an enthusiastic person and on his retirement in 1985 he had the idea to set up RAUKI and did so with some of his colleagues. He continued to support it right up to present times. We will all miss his wonderful dry wit, the personalised Christmas cards he lovingly created for us and his company at our meetings and lunches.
Pat, as she was known, immigrated to the USA from England in the early sixties and shortly thereafter joined KLM, hired by Margaret Stickney. At first she worked in the passenger department with Stewart Tenner and then along with Pierre Doley and Henry Kluck in Cargo Sales and Marketing . When KLM’s publication distribution service morphed into Interpost Systems located in New York City, Pat went with them and into outside sales.
